Description
Designed with input from country-rock legend Albert Lee, the AL40-TW-R1 takes a retro offset shape and pairs it with features tailored for fast, expressive playing. The mahogany body carries a warm, resonant foundation, while the bolt-on hard maple neck (attached with a 5-bolt pattern) offers a stable, comfortable feel with a 9.5″ fingerboard radius across 22 narrow frets on a Jatoba fingerboard, marked with clean white dots.
Two humbucking pickups run through a 5-way toggle selector, giving you a broad spread of tones from full humbucker output to brighter in-between voicings, all shaped with straightforward volume and tone controls. A Fulcrum tremolo bridge adds pitch expression and vibrato without complicating setup, and diecast tuners keep things stable string to string. The 25.5″ scale length and slim 1.65″ nut width make for a neck that’s quick under the fingers, whether you’re chicken-pickin’ or working through legato runs.
Finished in Trans Walnut with a black pickguard, this AL40 model brings genuine signature-series design to a more accessible price point without skipping on details players actually notice.
