Description
Squier’s Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS takes the classic Fender blueprint and adds a bit of extra bite. The alder body wears a glossy polyurethane Race Green finish under a large ’60s-style headstock, instantly recognizable as Strat DNA. A bolt-on maple neck carries a comfortable “C” profile and a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard dressed with pearloid dot inlays across 21 medium jumbo frets — smooth for chords, easy for bends.
The HSS layout pairs two Standard Single-Coil Strat pickups (neck and middle) with a Standard Humbucking pickup at the bridge, so you get glassy in-between tones plus a thicker, higher-output voice when you need to push into rock territory. A 5-way blade switch routes through all the usual Strat combinations, controlled by a master volume knob and two tone controls (one for the neck pickup, one for the middle).
Hardware includes a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge for pitch dives and subtle vibrato, standard die-cast tuning machines for tuning stability, and a synthetic bone nut. It ships strung with Fender USA 250L nickel-plated steel strings (.009–.042).
