Description
The ’72 Telecaster Thinline marked a bold departure from Fender’s original single-coil design, and Squier’s Vintage Modified take captures that shift faithfully. Instead of the thin, twangy bite of a standard Tele, you get two big Wide Range humbucking pickups paired with a semi-hollow ash body, delivering a warmer, fuller voice with plenty of output and character. The white pearloid pickguard and 3-Tone Sunburst finish give it that unmistakable ’70s look, while a maple neck and fingerboard with a Modern “C” profile keep the feel fast and comfortable up and down the 25.5″ scale.
Under the hood, a 3-position blade switch lets you jump between bridge, combined, and neck pickup settings, all controlled by simple master volume and tone knobs. A vintage-style string-through-body bridge with six Fender-stamped steel saddles anchors the tone, and details like the knurled control knobs, original barrel switch tip, and single-wing string tree round out the vintage-correct package.
