Instead of soldering bare or tinned pickup leads directly to the pot, you feed each wire into one of Liberator’s connector stations and tighten a screw. That screw lifts a small carriage that clamps the wire firmly against a fixed contact pad—no cold joints, no flimsy spring terminals, just a tight mechanical connection that outperforms a rushed solder job.
The system is built around two main sections: a ten-station pickup connector and a four-station potentiometer connector. Wire color codes printed right next to the pickup connector match Seymour Duncan’s standard four-conductor humbucker scheme, and a color-code guide is included for wiring pickups from other brands. The pot connector handles the three core terminals (in, out, ground) plus an extra ground for bridges or trem systems. If you’d rather solder, gold-plated pads are also on hand—far easier to work with than the back of a typical pot.
