This Custom-7 TR is the headless evolution of Synyster Gates’ signature line, designed for players who want extended range without sacrificing the tuning precision a headless design provides. The chambered mahogany body with a maple center keeps the guitar resonant and lively while trimming excess weight, finished here in a striking Oak Green Metallic with gold hardware for serious visual presence.
The maple neck is a headless set-neck construction reinforced with two carbon fiber rods, topped with an ebony fretboard cut to a 16″ radius and dressed with 24 gold X-Jumbo frets. A gold “Syn S” inlay marks the 12th fret, and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots keep you oriented on dim stages. The Ultra Thin “C” profile measures 19mm at the 1st fret and 20mm at the 12th, sitting over a 26.5″ scale length and a 48mm Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut – a combination that favors low-tuned riffing and fast lead work alike.
At the bridge, Hipshot’s 7-string headless tremolo system handles both string anchoring and tuning duties, contributing to the guitar’s clean, streamlined look. Deep insert neck joint construction with Ultra Access carving opens up the upper frets for uninterrupted playability.
Electronics come straight from the Synyster Gates USA signature humbucker set, placed at both neck and bridge, wired through master volume and master tone controls. The tone knob includes a push-pull switch for coil splitting, giving you access to single-coil textures alongside the humbuckers’ full output, all routed through a straightforward 3-way toggle.
