Description
The Schecter Sun Valley SS-FR is a purpose-built shred machine wrapped in a head-turning Sea Foam Green finish. Underneath the flat-top mahogany body sits a bolt-on maple neck with a Thin ‘C’ profile, giving your hand a fast, low-effort grip whether you’re sweeping arpeggios or chugging palm mutes down low. A 14″ radius maple fretboard hosts 24 X-Jumbo frets with offset/reverse dot inlays, so bends and high-register runs stay smooth and accurate all the way to the top.
Locking down the low end is a Floyd Rose Special ‘Hot Rod’ tremolo, a Schecter-exclusive take on the classic locking bridge paired with a matching Floyd Rose Special nut. Stainless steel hardware and black finishing throughout mean the rig can take a beating on stage without corroding or losing its edge. Two EMG Retro Active Hot 70 pickups drive the tone, active EMGs voiced with a vintage-leaning character that still has plenty of push for high-gain riffing, all controlled through a straightforward Volume/Volume/3-Way Switch layout and powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.
