Description
The Schecter PT Standard leans into the stripped-down, single-cutaway formula that’s fueled twangy pickers and rock rhythm players for decades, then updates it with Schecter’s own hardware and pickup choices. A swamp ash body with a flat top pairs with a bolt-on maple neck carved in a Thin ‘C’ profile, so it stays fast and comfortable whether you’re working chords or leads. The maple fretboard carries 21 X-Jumbo frets across a 25.5″ scale with a 12″ radius, and dot inlays keep the look clean and traditional.
Under the hood, a Schecter Diamond MonsterTone VT sits in the bridge for cutting, aggressive tones, while a Diamond VT-1 in the neck handles warmer, rounder voices – both wired to a simple volume/tone/3-way switch layout that keeps things intuitive on stage or in the studio. A Vintage Ashtray bridge with staggered brass saddles anchors the strings, and a Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut helps with tuning stability alongside the Grover tuners. Chrome hardware and metal knurled knobs finish out the vintage-leaning look, and it ships strung with Ernie Ball Super Slinky .009-.042 strings.
