Description
The Schecter PT Custom takes the brand’s fast-playing PT platform and dresses it up with a flamed maple top over a swamp ash body, finished in Trans Black Burst that lets the wood grain show through. It’s built in South Korea with a bolt-on construction for that punchy, resonant attack players expect from a solid ash body.
- Maple neck with rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, and a Thin ‘C’ profile that stays comfortable across long sessions
- 25.5″ scale with 21 X-Jumbo frets and a 12″ fretboard radius for smooth bending and fretting
- Neck thickness measures .787″ at the 1st fret and .866″ at the 12th, with a 1.653″ nut width on a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut
- 2-way adjustable truss rod accessible with a 5/32″ Allen wrench
Tone comes from a matched set of Schecter Diamond Plus pickups in the neck and bridge, wired to a volume knob, a push-pull tone control for coil-splitting versatility, and a 3-way switch. The Diamond Hardtail bridge keeps tuning stable and sustain focused, while Schecter Locking tuners on chrome hardware make string changes and tuning stability a non-issue.
It ships strung with Ernie Ball Super Slinky #2223 strings (.009-.042), ready to plug in. Note that the SGR-Universal case is sold separately.
Whether you’re chasing rock rhythm tones or lead lines that cut, the PT Custom’s combination of ash resonance, maple brightness, and hot Diamond Plus pickups makes it a versatile workhorse for the stage or studio.
