Description
Schecter built its reputation by not settling for the usual, and the Omen Extreme-7 shows why. This is a guitar aimed at players who need the extra low string without giving up feel or fit-and-finish, wrapped in a Black Cherry finish over a quilted maple top that sits atop a resonant mahogany body.
The bolt-on maple neck carries a Thin ‘C’ profile, staying slim at .787″ by the first fret and easing to .866″ by the twelfth, so fast runs and wide chords both feel natural. A 26.5″ scale length gives the low B string the tension it needs to stay tight and defined, while the rosewood fretboard – loaded with 24 X-Jumbo frets and a 16″ radius – keeps bends smooth across the entire neck. Abalone and pearloid vector inlays mark your position without stealing attention from the crème multi-ply binding.
Tone comes from a pair of Schecter Diamond Plus pickups, wired through independent volume controls, a push-pull tone knob, and a 3-way switch for real tonal range – from cleaned-up cleans to full-on distortion. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body construction adds sustain and stability, backed by a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Schecter tuners for reliable tuning.
