Description
The Omen Elite-7 Multiscale gives extended-range players the fanned-fret advantage without sacrificing playability. Strings run from 25.5″ up to 27″, tightening tension on the low end for chugging riffs while keeping the top strings comfortable for bending and lead work. The bolt-on maple neck wears a thin “C” profile and is braced with carbon fiber rods, so it stays stable under the pull of seven strings and varying scale lengths.
A 16″ radius rosewood fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets, and Schecter contoured the neck joint to open up access to the upper register. Underneath, a mahogany body pairs with a figured poplar burl top for a look that matches the Black Cherry Burst finish’s depth and grain.
Tone comes from a matched set of Schecter Heretic-7 humbuckers, wired to master volume, master tone, and a 5-way pickup selector for a wide spread of pickup combinations. Hardware is finished in black throughout, including Schecter tuners, a Hipshot multiscale fixed bridge for rock-solid intonation, and a Graph Tech Black Tusq Abasi 7-String nut that keeps the extra string properly spaced and smooth.
