Description
The Schecter Omen 8 opens the door to extended-range playing without asking you to relearn your technique. Its bolt-on basswood body keeps things light and resonant, while a 26.5″ scale length gives low tunings the string tension they need to stay tight and in pitch.
A maple neck runs the show tonally, sending a bright, focused attack into the body that balances out basswood’s warmth. On top sits a rosewood fingerboard – naturally oily and forgiving on the fingers – loaded with 24 jumbo frets and Pearloid Semi-Goth inlays for fast, comfortable playing all the way up the neck.
Power comes from Schecter’s own Diamond Plus Omen-8 pickups. Overwound coils and a ceramic magnet push out an aggressive, high-output signal that’s built for crunchy rhythm work and searing leads alike – and it stays articulate even when you drop-tune. A straightforward Volume/Tone/3-way switch layout keeps controls simple so you can focus on playing.
Rounding out the build are Schecter’s own sealed, lubricated tuners with a 15:1 gear ratio for tuning stability that holds up to aggressive playing, plus a Schecter CTM-8 bridge and black chrome hardware throughout for a cohesive, blacked-out look.
