Designed with input straight from Keith Merrow, the KM-7 MK-II is built to handle demanding modern metal playing without sacrificing playability. The neck-thru construction with Ultra Access joint keeps upper fret access open, while the swamp ash body paired with a flamed maple top gives the guitar a resonant, articulate voice with visual flair in Natural Pearl.
The 5-piece maple/wenge neck is reinforced with carbon fiber rods for rock-solid stability under heavy string tension, and it’s carved into an Ultra Thin ‘C’ profile that stays fast under the hand. An ebony fretboard hosts 24 stainless steel X-Jumbo frets across a 12″-16″ compound radius, so chords feel comfortable low on the neck while bends and leads stay smooth up high. The 26.5″ scale length keeps the low B string taut and defined.
Electronics come from Seymour Duncan’s Nazgul and Sentient set – an active-voiced passive pairing purpose-built for 7-string metal tones, delivering tight, saturated low end and clear pick attack. A push-pull volume knob and 3-way switch keep the control layout simple. Hardware is all business: a Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-thru-body construction for sustain, Schecter locking tuners for tuning stability, and black hardware throughout that suits the natural pearl finish.
