Description
The Hellraiser C-7 FR is Schecter’s answer to guitarists who need seven strings, a wide tonal range, and a tremolo that won’t drift out of tune mid-set. Its 26.5″ scale gives that extra-low B string real definition, backed by a set neck construction with Ultra Access for comfortable reach into the upper frets.
The 3-piece mahogany neck is built to resist warping from seasonal humidity and temperature swings, keeping the 24 jumbo frets and rosewood fingerboard playing true for years. Rosewood’s natural oils soak up stray overtones, giving you a fundamental-forward tone that feels warm under the fingers even during aggressive picking.
Tone comes from EMG’s Active 707tw pickups – the pickup that solved the classic 7-string problem of a muddy, indistinct low B. Alnico V magnets and wide-aperture coils tighten up that low end while keeping harmonics, both natural and artificial, ringing clear. Coil-tapping on both volume controls opens up additional tonal shading beyond the standard humbucker voice, routed through a 3-way switch and dedicated tone knob.
Locking everything down is a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo, paired with Grover Rotomatic tuners running an 18:1 gear ratio for precise, stable tuning with minimal backlash. Black chrome hardware and gray pearl Gothic cross inlays finish off the look on this black gloss model.
