The Hellraiser C-1 Sustaniac is built for players who want gothic looks and modern metal performance in one package. Finished in Black Cherry over a mahogany body, it carries a set 3-piece mahogany neck for long-term stability against seasonal wood movement, capped with a rosewood fingerboard that keeps tone warm and fundamental-heavy while smoothing out stray overtones. Abalone “Gothic Cross” inlays and multi-ply black/white/black binding give the whole instrument a distinctive, upscale look.
Twenty-four jumbo frets and a 25.5″ scale give you room to roam, while the Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge handles dive bombs and pitch tricks without losing tune. Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio keep things locked in, offering finer adjustment and less backlash than standard tuners.
Electronics are where this guitar gets interesting: an EMG 81 active pickup delivers ceramic-magnet punch, tight low end, and searing high-end cut for lead and rhythm work. Paired with it is a Sustainiac driver/pickup – flip the switch off and it behaves as a smooth humbucker, flip it on and it generates electromagnetic feedback for true infinite sustain on held notes. Controls include volume, tone, an intensity knob for the Sustainiac, a 3-way selector, and two mini DPDT switches for extra tonal flexibility.
