Description
The Hellraiser C-1 has long been a go-to for players who need a guitar that can handle drop tunings, tapping runs, and everything in between without complaint. Its mahogany body carries an arched top and grey pearloid binding with a black/white/black multi-ply edge, giving it a sharp look that matches the Gothic cross inlays running up the rosewood fretboard.
Under the hood, the set-neck construction with Ultra Access joint keeps the upper frets fully reachable, while the 3-piece mahogany neck is carved into a Thin ‘C’ profile – slim enough for speed, substantial enough to keep tone intact. The 25.5″ scale, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and 14″ fretboard radius work together for comfortable bending and low-buzz playability across the board.
Electronics come courtesy of an EMG 81TW in the bridge and EMG 89R in the neck, both active pickups with push-pull volume controls that split the coils for single-coil-style tones when you want to back off the gain. A separate tone knob and 3-way switch round out the control layout, powered by a 9-volt battery housed in a clip-in compartment.
Hardware is finished in black chrome throughout, including Schecter locking tuners for tuning stability and a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru-body stringing for solid sustain. It ships strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010-.046).
