The Damien Platinum 6 is built for players who want aggressive tone without fuss. A mahogany body paired with a set neck construction (featuring Ultra Access for easy upper-fret reach) gives this guitar a warm, resonant foundation, while the 3-piece maple neck keeps things structurally rock-solid through years of climate swings and hard playing.
Up top, the rosewood fingerboard offers that familiar oily, fundamental-heavy voice guitarists have relied on for decades — smooth under the fingers and forgiving on bends. It’s dressed with 24 jumbo frets, Platinum bat inlays, and Platinum multi-ply binding for a look that matches the satin black finish’s understated menace.
Tone comes courtesy of EMG’s Active 81/85 set — the 81 in the bridge cuts through dense mixes with ceramic-magnet clarity and high-end bite, while the 85 in the neck adds thickness for leads and rhythm work alike. Simple controls (volume, tone, 3-way switch) keep the electronics intuitive on stage or in the studio.
Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio deliver fine, stable tuning with reduced backlash, and they team up with the Floyd Rose Special bridge for a setup that handles whammy abuse without drifting out of tune. Satin chrome hardware rounds out the build across a 25.5″ scale length.
