Description
The Schecter C-1 Hellraiser pairs aggressive tone-shaping electronics with rock-solid construction, all wrapped in a glossy white finish accented by abalone binding and Gothic cross inlays. It’s a guitar designed for players who want punch, clarity, and reliability night after night.
- Neck: A set-neck design with Ultra Access joint, built from 3 pieces of mahogany for extra rigidity. This lamination resists warping from humidity and temperature swings, keeping the neck straight and playable for years.
- Fretboard: Rosewood over 24 jumbo frets. The natural oils in rosewood soak up stray overtones, giving the guitar a fundamental-forward, slightly warmer voice compared to maple.
- Pickups: EMG Active 81TX in the bridge delivers the crunch and bite the 81 is known for, plus a switchable single-coil mode for a brighter, punchier tone. The EMG 89R in the neck uses alnico V magnets with its own preamp, offering a rich, warm humbucker voice in dual-coil mode reminiscent of the EMG 85, alongside a rear single-coil option.
- Controls: Dual push-pull volume knobs (coil-tap), a tone control, and a 3-way switch give you quick access to both humbucker and single-coil textures.
- Bridge: TonePros TOM bridge with through-body stringing locks everything in place – no wiggle, no shifting under heavy playing – which translates to better sustain, cleaner harmonics, and tuning that holds.
- Tuners: Schecter locking tuners with a 19:1 gear ratio for fast, precise tuning and a locking pin for added string stability.
With a 25.5″ scale, black chrome hardware, and mahogany body construction, the C-1 Hellraiser is built to handle drop tunings and aggressive playing while staying comfortable and stable.
