Description
The C-1 FR Apocalypse takes Schecter’s proven C-1 platform and dials up the metal-ready specs. A swamp ash body with an arched top keeps things resonant and comfortably lightweight, joined to a Maple/Bubinga multi-ply neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods for stability under heavy tremolo use. The Ultra Access set-neck construction opens up the upper frets for effortless reach across all 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets.
The ebony fretboard uses a 12″-16″ compound radius, flattening out as you move up the neck for smoother bends and faster runs, finished off with mother of pearl triangle inlays at the 12th and 24th frets and glow-in-the-dark side dots for low-light stages. The Thin ‘C’ neck shape stays fast in hand, while the Floyd Rose 1500 Series nut and bridge deliver dive-bomb capable tuning stability.
Tone comes from a matched set of Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI pickups in the neck and bridge, wired through a Volume/Volume/push-pull Tone/3-way switch layout for a wide range of coil-split and tonal options. Grover tuners and satin black hardware round out the build, with Hipshot O-Ring knobs adding a distinctive tactile touch.
