Description

The Schecter BlackJack SLS C-7 A takes the extended-range concept and strips away anything that gets in the way of speed and low-end clarity. A mahogany body with an arched top and black multi-ply binding gives it a substantial, resonant foundation, while the set-neck construction with Ultra Access joint keeps upper-fret playability intact even on a 7-string.

That neck is where this guitar really sets itself apart. Schecter built it from 3-piece maple with an Ultra Thin ‘C’ profile and a 12″-16″ compound radius, so chords feel comfortable near the nut and bends smooth out as you climb toward the 24 X-Jumbo frets. An ebony fretboard with offset MOP dot inlays adds a slick, fast feel under the fingers, and the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut helps keep tuning stable across all seven strings.

Powering the guitar is a matched set of Seymour Duncan BlackOuts AHB-1 active humbuckers in the neck and bridge, delivering tight, high-output tone with the clarity needed for low tunings – controlled via volume/volume/tone knobs and a 3-way switch, with a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment for the active electronics.

Hardware is all business: a TonePros 7-string TOM bridge with string-thru-body construction for sustain and stability, Schecter locking tuners for quick, secure string changes, and black chrome hardware finished off with metal knurled knobs. It ships strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7 strings (.010-.056), finished in a low-glare Satin Black.
