Description
The Radial Duplex (JDI Duplex, Part No. R800 1020) takes the trusted JDI circuit and doubles it up for stereo sources, giving touring musicians, broadcast engineers, and AV techs a single-box solution for connecting keyboards, digital pianos, or electronic drums to a mixing console without hum, buzz, or tonal harshness.
Inside are two USA-made audio transformers delivering the same pristine, ultra-linear signal path found in the original JDI—flat from 10Hz to 40kHz with virtually no phase shift or harmonic distortion. Push these transformers hard and they respond with a warm, natural Bessel-curve saturation rather than digital-sounding harshness, which makes the Duplex especially forgiving with bright or dynamic instrument sources. Transformer isolation also breaks ground loops that cause hum, buzz, or video interference in larger systems.
Connectivity is where the Duplex earns its name—¼" instrument jacks, RCA inputs for -10dB consumer gear, and XLR inputs for +4dB professional line level sources all live on the same unit, so you’re covered no matter what’s feeding it. Radial’s book-end chassis design tucks switches and connectors safely into protected zones, while a 14-gauge I-beam inner frame keeps the PC board rigid and stress-free to prevent solder joint failure over years of use. The steel outer shell pairs with mu-metal transformer shielding to block stray magnetic interference, and a full no-slip bottom pad adds both physical grip and electrical isolation.
- Stereo passive DI box for high-output sources
- ¼" instrument, RCA (-10dB), and XLR (+4dB) inputs
- Ultra-linear 10Hz–40kHz frequency response
- Near-zero phase and harmonic distortion
- 100% transformer isolation eliminates ground loops
- High common mode noise rejection
