What sets this guitar apart is what’s under the hood. PRS now builds the S2 Custom 24 with 85/15 pickups wound at their Maryland, USA facility, paired with a 5-way blade switch. That combination unlocks the full range of tones the Custom 24 is known for, from clear single-coil chime to full-bodied humbucker push, all in one instrument.
This Black Amber finish showcases the figured maple top with warm, translucent depth, letting the wood grain shine through the dark amber hue.
Notably, 2024 marks a significant update for the S2 line: after a decade in production, PRS has upgraded the series with USA-made pickups and electronics.
