Action height is set by raising or lowering the studs the bridge rests on, giving you direct control over string height without swapping parts. Before making any adjustments, detune the guitar fully to remove tension from the bridge. A standard quarter works well for turning the studs to your desired height, after which you can bring the guitar back up to pitch.
Because brass is a relatively soft metal, work the studs gently rather than forcing them — over-aggressive adjustments can mar the threads over time. Take it slow, check your action after each small turn, and you’ll get a smooth, accurate setup that keeps your PRS playing the way it was designed to.
