Description
The Fender Tone Master Pro packs a huge library of amp models, effects, and tone-shaping options, but a lot of that potential only really comes alive when you can control it in real time with your feet. That’s exactly what the SP1-TMP is for. Fender teamed up with Mission Engineering to build an expression pedal engineered specifically around the Tone Master Pro’s control scheme, so it integrates cleanly rather than acting as a generic add-on.
Inside the housing you get two separate control paths routed to a pair of 1/4-inch jacks, letting the pedal handle two jobs at once:
- A TRS 10K Ohm linear potentiometer that plugs into the Tone Master Pro’s EXP input, giving you smooth, continuous sweeps for volume swells, wah sounds, or any parameter you’ve assigned to expression control.
- A TS latching switch that connects to the Toe Switch input, so a simple press of your toe flips effects on and off or triggers other tonal changes instantly.
Because the heel-to-toe motion covers both continuous sweeps and hard on/off switching in one unit, you’re not choosing between subtlety and immediacy on stage — you get both, mapped exactly the way the Tone Master Pro expects. Finished in black and silver to match Fender’s own hardware aesthetic, the SP1-TMP is built to feel like a native extension of the Tone Master Pro rather than a bolted-on accessory.
