The Jackson X Series Soloist SL3X DX takes the brand’s shred-ready DNA and wraps it in an eye-catching Yellow Crackle finish. This isn’t a cosmetic afterthought — everything underneath is engineered for players who dive-bomb first and ask questions later.
Neck-through-body construction ties a graphite-reinforced maple neck directly into a contoured basswood body, giving you sustain for days and zero dead spots as you climb toward the 24th jumbo fret. The laurel fingerboard uses a compound radius that flattens out from 12″ near the nut to 16″ up top, so chords stay comfortable low on the neck while bends and leads run smooth and fret-out-free higher up.
Electronics come courtesy of a Jackson pickup trio: high-output mini rail humbuckers sit in the neck and middle positions, paired with a high-output humbucker at the bridge for punch and clarity across the tonal spectrum. A single volume knob, single tone knob, and five-way blade switch give you quick access to every combination without overthinking it mid-set.
For whammy abuse, the recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo keeps tuning stable through aggressive dive bombs and flutters alike. Rounding out the build: black hardware, dome control knobs, pearloid sharkfin inlays, and Jackson’s signature pointed 6-in-line headstock — all wrapped in a finish tough enough to shrug off stage sweat.
