The USA SL1 Soloist is Jackson’s flagship take on the pointy, fast-playing guitar that built its reputation. An alder body pairs with a quartersawn eastern hard rock maple neck that runs straight through the body via a scarf joint, giving you unbroken sustain and rock-solid stability under aggressive playing.
The compound-radius ebony fingerboard flattens out as you move up the neck, so open chords feel natural down low while high-fret bends and tapping stay buzz-free up top. Twenty-four jumbo frets, mother-of-pearl sharkfin inlays, and bound edges on both the fingerboard and headstock round out a neck that’s as much about feel as it is about looks.
Tone comes from a Seymour Duncan HSS lineup: a direct-mount Zebra JB TB4 humbucker in the bridge for cutting lead tone, paired with two Classic Stack single-coils that deliver Strat-style clarity and hum-canceling quiet. A 5-way blade switch opens up everything from full humbucker crunch to glassy in-between tones. A Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo, matched with a locking nut, means your tuning stays put through whammy abuse and heavy bends.
