Built for players who need extended range without sacrificing playability, the Jackson USA Select B8DXMG is an 8-string workhorse designed for heavy riffing and precise articulation across a 27″ scale. The beveled alder body pairs with a 1-piece neck-through-body quartersawn maple neck, reinforced with graphite and finished in hand-rubbed oil for a fast, stable feel.
The compound-radius ebony fingerboard (12″-16″) hosts 24 jumbo frets and side-dot markers, staying comfortable whether you’re chording low or shredding up top. Black binding on both the fingerboard and headstock adds a clean finishing touch against the Satin Black body.
Direct-mount EMG 808 humbuckers in the neck and bridge deliver the high-output, low-noise clarity EMG is known for—ideal for tight, percussive rhythm work and cutting leads alike. A 3-position toggle lets you switch between bridge, combined, and neck pickup voicings, controlled by simple master volume and tone knobs.
Anchoring the low end is Jackson’s own HT-8 hard-tail, string-through-body bridge, paired with Jackson-branded Gotoh sealed die-cast tuners for reliable tuning stability under drop tunings. Dunlop locking strap pins keep the guitar secure on stage.
