Description
The Pro Plus SLA3Q is a Soloist built for players who need speed without sacrificing stability. Its six-ply bound, arched okoume body wears a quilt maple top for visual depth, while the three-piece through-body maple/walnut neck runs graphite reinforcement rods to resist warping from temperature and humidity swings. The back of the neck gets a hand-rubbed oil finish that feels broken-in from the first session.
Up top, the bound ebony fingerboard uses a 12″-16″ compound radius across 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets, so it curves comfortably near the nut for chord work and flattens out higher up the neck, letting you dig into wide bends and rapid lead lines without fretting out. Pearloid piranha tooth inlays mark the way.
Electronics come courtesy of Seymour Duncan: a Distortion TB-6 bridge humbucker delivers a hot, low-end-heavy growl suited to aggressive playing, while the Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP middle single-coil and SSL-6 neck single-coil bring glassy top end and scooped mids. Between the five-way blade switch and single volume/tone controls, you can move fluidly from clean tones to crunchy rhythm to searing distortion. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo, recessed for pick-hand comfort, keeps tuning rock-solid through dive bombs and heavy vibrato.
