Description
The Jackson Pro Plus Series Dinky DKAQ is built for players who live at the upper frets and don’t apologize for it. Underneath the eye-catching Transparent Purple Burst finish sits a single-ply bound okoume body with an arched, quilt maple top that gives the whole instrument a striking depth of grain. The bolt-on neck is a five-piece maple/walnut build reinforced with graphite for rock-solid stability, finished with a sculpted shredder’s cut heel that gets your hand out of the way when you’re diving into the highest register. A hand-rubbed oil finish on the back of the neck keeps things fast and comfortable, and a heel-mount truss rod wheel lets you dial in relief without pulling the neck off.
Up top, a 12″-16″ compound radius ebony fingerboard carries 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets and offset pearloid dots, giving you a flatter feel as you climb toward the dusty end for bends and solos while still comfortable for chunky rhythm work down low. Tone comes from a direct-mount Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and ’59 (neck) humbucker pair, wired to a five-way blade switch with single volume and tone controls, so you’ve got plenty of ways to sculpt aggressive, articulate metal tones without losing clarity. A recessed Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo keeps tuning locked in through dive bombs and heavy riffing, and Luminlay side dots keep you oriented on dim stages.
Rounding things out: a pointed 6-in-line headstock, all-black hardware including sealed die-cast tuners, and Jackson locking strap buttons.
