Description
The King V silhouette has been a metal staple for decades, and the X Series KVXMG delivers that shape with genuinely gig-ready specs. A basswood body pairs with a through-body maple neck for sustain and stability, while the bound compound-radius rosewood fingerboard eases chords near the nut and flattens out toward the upper frets so bends stay smooth without fretting out.
Tone comes courtesy of active EMG 81 and 85 humbuckers, a proven pairing that keeps the low end tight, the mids articulate, and the highs cutting without getting harsh. A simple 3-way blade switch lets you jump between bridge, both, and neck positions on the fly. For whammy-heavy playing, the Floyd Rose Special double-locking two-point tremolo holds pitch through aggressive dive bombs and pull-ups, and Jackson’s sealed die-cast tuners keep things stable string to string.
Playability is handled by 24 jumbo frets, a 1.6875″ nut, and a fast Speed Neck profile with a tilt-back scarf joint headstock – all wrapped in white binding at both the neck and headstock, with pearloid sharkfin inlays marking your position up and down the 25.5″ scale board.
