Adrian Smith has spent decades carving out riffs and solos for Iron Maiden, and this SDX signature model distills that experience into a fast, versatile San Dimas-shaped guitar. The basswood body wears a gloss Snow White finish paired with a white pickguard, while black hardware throughout keeps the aesthetic clean and purposeful.
The bolted maple neck features a Speed Neck profile and an oiled finish for a quick, low-friction feel under the hand. A compound-radius rosewood fingerboard (12″ to 16″) flattens out as you climb toward the 22 jumbo frets, making bends easier the higher you go, and dot inlays keep things simple and legible on a 25.5″ scale. A dual-action truss rod with a vintage-style slotted nut rounds out the neck build.
Electronics come in an HSS layout: a high-output Jackson humbucker at the bridge for cutting leads and thick rhythm tones, flanked by noiseless Jackson single-coils in the middle and neck for cleaner, quack-friendly tones. A 5-way blade switch unlocks all the usual combinations, from full humbucker punch to single-coil clarity.
Anchoring the whole instrument is a Floyd Rose Special double-locking 2-point tremolo, giving you dive bombs and flutter without losing tuning stability, complemented by Jackson-branded tuners. It ships strung with NPS strings (.009-.042).
