Description
The G6636T brings the legendary Falcon into a more compact, gig-friendly package without losing an ounce of its character. Gretsch shrank the body to a 16″ double-cutaway silhouette and built in a chambered spruce center block, so you get that open, woody resonance and a lighter feel on long sets, while the double-cut horns give you real access to the upper frets.
Dual High-Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups deliver the sparkling highs and punchy midrange Gretsch players chase, wired to independent volume controls for each pickup plus a master tone knob and a 3-position toggle for quick tonal switching between neck, bridge, or both. A string-thru Bigsby vibrato adds smooth, controllable pitch effects while helping keep tuning stable.
Details that matter to working musicians:
- Laminated maple body with arched top and back, gold sparkle binding and W/B/W/B purfling
- Maple neck with gloss finish, standard “U” shape, and gold binding
- Ebony fingerboard, 12″ radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid thumbnail inlays
- Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, 1.6875″ width
- Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and Grover Imperial gold tuning machines
- Gold plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo and jeweled “G”-Arrow control knobs
Finished in white with right-hand orientation, this Falcon is built to hold its own night after night while keeping every classic Gretsch design cue intact.
