Description
The White Penguin has always occupied a strange, glamorous corner of Gretsch history — rarer than the Falcon, sleeker than the Duo Jet, and built for players who want their guitar to look as distinctive as it sounds. This left-handed G6134LH brings that legacy to southpaws without compromise, pairing a single-cutaway semi-hollow body with an arched top and gold-sparkle binding that catches the light from every angle.
Under the hood, a pair of DynaSonic single-coil pickups deliver that punchy, twangy Gretsch attack, routed through a 3-position toggle and a control layout with separate volume for each pickup plus master volume and tone. The one-piece mahogany neck is topped with a gold-sparkle-bound ebony fingerboard, where feather-motif hump block inlays mark the 22 frets and a 12″ radius keeps chords and bends comfortable.
Details are where this guitar earns its reputation: a gold plexi pickguard etched with the Penguin motif, rhinestone-and-white-dot inlays on the control knobs, a gold-sparkle truss rod cover, and an inlaid winged Gretsch logo on the bound headstock. Hardware includes an ebony-based Space Control roller bridge, the signature Gretsch “G” Cadillac tailpiece, and gold-plated Grover Imperial tuners for stable, precise tuning. A banjo armrest adds a touch of vintage practicality along the arched top.
