Description
The G6129T Sparkle Jet channels the spirit of the late-1950s Silver Jet, dressed up in a glittering silver sparkle top that catches every stage light. Built on a semi-hollow mahogany body with an arched laminated maple top, it delivers that woody, resonant Gretsch chime while multiple layers of body binding, a bound headstock, and an inlaid pearloid Gretsch logo keep the presentation just as sharp as the sound.
The one-piece mahogany neck carries an ebony fingerboard with neo-classic thumbnail inlays and a comfortable 12″ radius, running 22 frets to a 24.6″ scale. A synthetic bone nut and 1.6875″ width at the nut give players plenty of room to work, while Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuners keep things locked in.
Twin High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups supply the twangy-yet-thick tone Gretsch is famous for, routed through a 3-position toggle and independent volumes for each pickup plus a master volume. A 3-position master tone switch shapes the top end further, from a rolled-off midrange growl to the pickups running wide open. Vibrato comes courtesy of a Bigsby B3C tailpiece with the signature flat handle, paired with an ebony-based Space Control roller bridge for smooth, accurate intonation across strings.
