Description
The G6128T-TVP Power Jet takes the beloved Duo Jet blueprint and cranks up the attitude. Built on a bound single-cutaway chambered mahogany body with an arched laminated maple top, it delivers that unmistakable Gretsch growl with a bit more snarl thanks to a pair of TV Jones Power’Tron pickups in the bridge and neck positions. A 3-position toggle lets you flip between them, while the master tone switch offers three tonal voicings — from a warmer roll-off to the pickups wide open.
The one-piece mahogany neck carries a bound ebony fingerboard dressed in Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, spanning 22 medium jumbo frets with a 12″ radius and 24.6″ scale length. It’s topped off with a bound headstock showing off the pearloid Gretsch logo, backed by rock-solid Gotoh cast/sealed locking tuners for tuning stability that vintage-style guitars don’t always offer.
Chrome hardware throughout includes a pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge on a rosewood base and a Bigsby B3C vibrato tailpiece with a flat handle — the classic combination for shimmering, controlled pitch bends. A silver plexi pickguard etched with the Gretsch logo and knurled strap retainer knobs round out the vintage-modern aesthetic, all finished in a striking mahogany stain body with a jet black top.
