Description
The tone that shaped rockabilly and twang guitar for decades now comes in a proper left-handed build. This G6120-1959LHTV is Gretsch’s Professional Collection tribute to the original ’59 Chet Atkins hollow body, right down to the period-correct trestle bracing under the arched laminated maple top. Dual TV Jones Classic pickups deliver that warm, chiming character Chet made famous, wired through a 3-position toggle and independent volumes for neck and bridge, plus a master volume and 3-position tone switch for dialing in everything from smoky jazz warmth to biting rock cut.
- Nashville-style body, 2.75″ deep with a 16″ lower bout, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer
- Bound oversized f-holes and multiple body bindings for that unmistakable Gretsch silhouette
- Two-piece maple neck with bound ebony fingerboard, 12″ radius, 22 frets, and Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays
- Zero fret with synthetic bone nut, 1.6875″ nut width, 24.6″ scale
- Gold plexi pickguard with the “Chet Atkins” signature signpost
- Rosewood-based TRU-ARC stainless steel rocking bar bridge paired with a Bigsby B6C vibrato and flat handle
- Gold-plated hardware including Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuners
- Bound headstock with curly maple overlay, pearloid horseshoe and Gretsch logo inlay
Every detail, from the knurled strap knobs to the adjustable truss rod, mirrors the vintage original while giving left-handed players a true mirror-image instrument rather than a flipped righty. Ships in a G6241 deluxe hardshell case.
