Description
The G6119-1962HT Chet Atkins Tennessee Rose channels the twangy, jangly voice that made Gretsch hollow bodies famous during the ’60s guitar boom, wrapped in a rich burgundy stain that shows off the arched laminated maple top. Part of the Professional Collection, this Tennessee Rose shape carries multiple body bindings, simulated f-holes, and a silver plexi pickguard stamped with Chet Atkins’ own signature.
Twin Hilo’Tron pickups deliver that vintage sparkle Gretsch is known for, routed through a 3-position toggle (bridge, both, neck) plus independent volume controls for each pickup and a master volume. A 3-position master tone switch adds further shaping, from a wide-open pickup voice to rolled-off warmth, and a standby switch rounds out the electronics.
On the hardware side, an ebony-based rocking bar bridge pairs with a Gretsch by Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece and flat tremolo arm for smooth, controllable pitch dips. Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuners and a zero fret keep tuning stable and intonation clean across the 24.6″ scale, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, dressed with Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and a bound headstock and neck.
