Description
The G2622T Streamliner Center Block takes the vintage Gretsch formula—arched laminated maple body, big F-holes, twangy soul—and reinforces it with a spruce center block running through the body. That block is what lets you dig in at real rock volume without wrestling feedback, while the laminated maple back and top keep the acoustic character alive.
Powering the tone are Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers, a high-output pickup designed for this Streamliner Collection specifically to tighten up the bass, smooth out the highs, and add a growl in the midrange that traditional Filter’Trons don’t quite deliver. Controls stay classic Gretsch: individual volume for neck and bridge pickups, a master volume, master tone, and three-way switching, so you can dial in blends on the fly.
The nato neck wears a thin “U” profile with a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and pearloid Big Block inlays—fast under the fingers whether you’re comping chords or chasing leads. A synthetic bone nut and anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge keep tuning locked in, and the Bigsby-licensed B70 vibrato tailpiece is there when you want pitch bends and vibrato drama.
Finished in Gunmetal with aged white body and neck binding, nickel hardware, a three-ply black pickguard, and vintage-style black knobs, this guitar wears its Gretsch heritage plainly while sounding built for modern stages.
