Description
The G2622 Streamliner takes the vintage-inspired Gretsch double-cutaway shape and reinforces it with a spruce center block running the length of the body. That block does the heavy lifting acoustically—stiffening the top and choking off unwanted feedback so you can push volume on loud stages without the guitar howling back at you.
Powering the sound is a pair of Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers, developed specifically for the Streamliner line. They deliver a high-output voice with tighter, more defined low end than a typical Filter’Tron-style pickup, along with clear top end and a midrange that has some grit to it—useful whether you’re chasing jangly cleans or driving into overdrive. Controls follow the classic Gretsch layout: individual volume knobs for each pickup, a master volume, master tone, and 3-way switching for quick tonal changes on the fly.
Playability comes from a Nato neck with a thin U profile, set into the body and topped with a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard. Medium jumbo frets and pearloid Big Block inlays make chord work and lead lines equally comfortable across all 22 frets. A synthetic bone nut and Adjusto-Matic bridge anchored by the V-Stoptail keep tuning stable and intonation accurate.
Visually, this one leans into Gretsch tradition with an Ocean Turquoise gloss finish over laminated maple, aged white binding with upgraded purfling, enlarged F-holes for extra acoustic breathing room, a three-ply tortoise pickguard, and nickel hardware throughout.
