Description
The G2622 Streamliner Center Block takes the classic Gretsch semi-hollow formula and updates it for players who want vintage attitude without the vintage compromises. A solid center block runs through the laminated maple body, taming feedback and adding sustain while keeping the airy resonance that makes hollow bodies so expressive to play. Finished in Burnt Orchid over a gloss laminated maple shell, it’s a striking guitar as much as it is a functional one.
Powering the sound are a pair of Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers, Gretsch’s higher-output pickup design that trades some of the vintage chime for tighter low end and more clarity under gain. A 3-position toggle selects bridge, both, or neck, while independent volume controls for each pickup, a master tone, and a push/pull master volume for coil-splitting give you a genuinely versatile control layout – from full humbucker growl to single-coil sparkle.
The Nato neck carries a Laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, set to a 24.75″ scale and a 1.6875″ bone nut for comfortable, familiar playability. A V-Stoptail and Adjusto-Matic bridge keep tuning stable and intonation precise, while die-cast sealed tuners and nickel hardware round out a build that feels considered from top to bottom.
