Description
The Godin Session LTD is built for guitarists who bounce between genres without switching guitars. Rock, blues, country twang, or crunchy overdrive – this HSS setup covers the ground, and the Silver Gold high-gloss finish over a rosewood board gives it a sharp, classic look.
Under the hood, a rock maple neck meets a Canadian Laurentian basswood body, a combination chosen for its light weight and balanced resonance rather than boutique flash. The rosewood fretboard runs a 12″ radius with a 25 1/2″ scale length and a 1 11/16″ nut width, landing in familiar territory for players coming from most mainstream electrics.
Tonally, the two Godin GS-1 single-coils sit in a vintage white pickguard for chiming, articulate cleans and snappy in-between positions, while the Seymour Duncan SH-11 humbucker in the bridge slot brings the output needed for rock rhythm and lead work. A 5-way switch handles pickup selection, and the electronics get a clever twist: the push/pull tone knob splits the humbucker, unlocking single-coil tones from the bridge pickup when you want more sparkle and less growl.
