Description
The Fullerton Deluxe Legacy HSS takes G&L’s classic S-500-inspired platform and adds some bite courtesy of a G&L AW4470 alnico bridge humbucker. Paired with vintage-style alnico CLF-100 single coils in the neck and middle, this HSS configuration — engineered under G&L VP Paul Gagon — covers a wide tonal territory, from chimey clean tones to thicker, humbucker-driven crunch. Flip the split-coil switch and that bridge humbucker cleans up into a convincing single-coil voice with plenty of ringing harmonic detail.
Every Legacy signature touch is here: Leo Fender’s PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) circuitry works across all three pickups, giving you independent treble and bass cut for far more tonal shaping than a standard tone knob allows. The Dual-Fulcrum vibrato — another Leo Fender design — delivers smooth pitch bends in either direction with rock-solid tuning stability, all controlled through a substantial aluminum vibrato arm.
The hard-rock maple neck wears a satin finish for a fast, unfussy feel, shaped with a comfortable 9 1/2″ fingerboard radius and finished with Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets. A G&L Clear Tint Satin finish carries the vintage-meets-modern aesthetic right up the neck.

Built at G&L’s historic Fullerton, California facility — the Birthplace of Bolt-on — this Legacy HSS suits players who want vintage Alnico single-coil character with the added flexibility of humbucker output, all backed by USA craftsmanship.
