Description
The Fullerton Deluxe Legacy takes the best-loved spec combinations off G&L’s Build To Order sheet and packages them into one ready-to-play instrument. It’s a mash-up of eras—’60s-style bones with ’90s-era refinement—unified by a G&L Clear Tint Satin finish that runs up the neck and lets the wood grain show through.
Under the hood, the Legacy borrows heavily from Leo Fender’s own S-500 and Comanche designs, pairing true Alnico V single-coil pickups with G&L’s P.T.B. (Passive Treble and Bass) control system. Unlike a standard single tone knob, P.T.B. gives you two separate passive controls that cut treble and bass independently, letting you sculpt the pickups’ voice far beyond what a typical tone pot allows. The result is that familiar, chimey single-coil character with a lot more shaping power in your hands.
This model is offered in three finish/wood combinations:
- Jet Black over Alder body, 3-ply parchment pickguard, maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Old School Tobacco over Swamp Ash body, 3-ply parchment pickguard, maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Blonde over Swamp Ash body, 3-ply tortoise pickguard, maple fingerboard
Every Fullerton Deluxe Legacy is built at the original G&L facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California—the birthplace of the bolt-on neck—continuing the company Leo Fender founded in 1980. For players chasing authentic Alnico single-coil tone wrapped in modern playability and genuine USA craftsmanship, the Legacy is hard to beat.
