Description
G&L’s Fullerton Deluxe Fallout takes its cue from the ’83 SC-2 — the very same guitar that got hot-rodded by Devo’s Mothersbaugh brothers and Band Of Susans’ Robert Poss into a cult favorite among players who wanted something lighter and more agile than the usual suspects. Rather than a straight reissue, the Fallout carries that scrappy spirit forward while dialing in tones suited to how guitarists actually play now.
- Leo Fender-designed SC-2 body shape, built for comfort and low weight
- G&L Saddle Lock bridge for solid sustain and tuning stability
- Medium-C neck profile, 12" fingerboard radius, medium-jumbo frets
- G&L Alnico P-90 in the neck position for bite and clarity
- G&L AW4370 humbucker at the bridge for thick, driving tones
- Sweeping pickguard silhouette and an exclusive ’80s-inspired G&L headstock
The pickup pairing is where the Fallout earns its keep — the P-90 handles clean jangle and dirty riffing with equal ease, while the AW4370 bridge humbucker steps in when you need something heavier and more compact. It’s a combination built for players who move between styles rather than sticking to one lane.
This example comes finished in Alpine White over an alder body, paired with a 3-ply pearl pickguard and a maple fingerboard. Every Fullerton Deluxe model is built at G&L’s original facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California — the same site Leo Fender established in 1980 and still known as the Birthplace of Bolt-on.
