Description
The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic Bluesboy takes Leo Fender’s definitive single-cutaway bolt-on design and dresses it up with some of the most requested finish and hardware combinations from G&L’s Option Order menu. Each guitar pairs a standout finish with a pickguard chosen to complement it, plus a rear-contoured alder or swamp ash body that keeps things comfortable for long sessions.
- 3-Tone Sunburst over Alder with 3-ply parchment pickguard, maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Jet Black over Alder with 3-ply parchment pickguard, maple or Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Himalayan Blue over Alder with 3-ply pearl pickguard and Caribbean rosewood fingerboard
- Butterscotch over Swamp Ash with 1-ply black pickguard and maple fingerboard
What sets the Bluesboy apart is its pickup configuration: a G&L A2S4248N Alnico II humbucker in the neck delivers rich, rounded warmth, while a single-coil G&L Magnetic Field Design bridge pickup—originally designed by Leo Fender—cuts through with bright attack and harmonic complexity. The bridge itself is a classic boxed-steel design fitted with individual brass saddles, giving you precise intonation control. Blend both pickups together and this guitar reveals a surprising range of tonal territory, from bluesy grit to cleaner, more articulate voicings.
The hard-rock maple neck wears G&L’s Vintage Tint Satin finish and a 9 1/2″ fingerboard radius, finished with Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets for a smooth, fast feel across the board.
Every Fullerton Deluxe Bluesboy is built at G&L’s original facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California—the same site Leo Fender established in 1980 and still known as the Birthplace of Bolt-on.
