Description
The Jazzmaster has always drawn in the misfits and the tone-chasers, and Fender’s Player series keeps that spirit alive without the vintage price tag. This Buttercream-finished model pairs an alder body with a maple neck carved into a comfortable Modern “C” profile, giving you a fast, familiar feel whether you’re strumming chords or working through leads up the 22-fret pau ferro fingerboard.
Where this Jazzmaster really shifts gears from the originals is under the pickguard. Instead of single-coils, Fender loaded it with a pair of Player Series Alnico 2 humbuckers, delivering a thicker, warmer output with noticeably less hum – perfect for players who want that offset look and feel but crave a bit more push for rock, indie, or anything that needs some grit. The 3-way toggle gives you bridge, combined, and neck pickup options, controlled by simple master volume and tone knobs.
The floating vintage-style tremolo bridge with six adjustable saddles keeps things playable and expressive, while the satin-back neck with a gloss headstock face gives you that broken-in feel right out of the box. Aged white knobs and a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard round out the classic Jazzmaster aesthetic.
