Description
The Deluxe Nashville Tele breaks from tradition by adding a third pickup to the classic Telecaster formula, an idea born on the session stages of Nashville where players need one guitar that covers everything from twang to lead tones. Two Vintage Noiseless Tele pickups sit at neck and bridge, while a Vintage Noiseless Strat pickup fills the middle position, all wired to a five-way Strat-o-Tone switch for a Stratocaster-style range of tonal combinations you won’t find on a standard Tele.
The alder body wears a gloss polyester Daphne Blue finish over a Telecaster shape that’s instantly familiar in the hands. The maple neck carries a Modern “C” profile with a Pau Ferro fingerboard, finished in satin polyurethane for a fast, low-friction feel. At 12″ of fingerboard radius, it’s noticeably flatter than vintage Fender necks, making string bends easier without fretting out, and the 22 narrow tall frets keep intonation precise across the 25.5″ scale.
Playability gets extra attention with a contoured neck heel for easier upper-fret access and locking tuning machines that speed up restringing while locking in tuning stability. The six-saddle string-through-body bridge with block saddles adds sustain and simplifies intonation adjustments, a hallmark upgrade across Fender’s Deluxe series.
