Description
Fender’s Classic Player Jaguar Special HH takes the offbeat charm of the original Jaguar and updates it for players who need more muscle. Twin Enforcer humbuckers replace the vintage single-coils, but Fender kept things flexible with a blend-able coil-tap circuit on each pickup, letting you dial back toward single-coil sparkle or push forward into full humbucker output. A flatter 9.5″ fingerboard radius makes bending and fast lead work more comfortable, while a redesigned neck pocket with increased back-angle tightens up sustain and tuning stability — two areas where older Jaguars sometimes fell short.
The alder body wears a gloss polyester Olympic White finish over a classic offset Jaguar shape, and the maple neck carries a “C” profile with a rosewood board, medium jumbo frets, and dot inlays. Fender’s Adjusto-Matic bridge and floating vintage-style tremolo (with lock button and screw-in arm) handle the switching duties Jaguars are known for, including the master kill switch and separate pickup on/off slides. A deluxe gig bag is included.
Bundled in is the Suhr Riot Distortion pedal, built to feel like a cranked 100-watt tube amp rather than a typical stompbox. Gain, Level, and Tone knobs cover everything from crunchy rhythm to searing lead tones, and the three-position Voicing switch reshapes the pedal’s character — from a dynamic, volume-knob-responsive vintage voice to a tight, midrange-forward high-gain setting. True bypass switching (via relay), an FX Link jack for remote/loop control, and a low-battery monitor that automatically reverts to bypass round out the feature set.
