Description
This is the later ’59 spec Stratocaster — the version that marked Fender’s shift from maple to rosewood fingerboards mid-year — rebuilt from the ground up using original tooling and real vintage guitars as reference points. Fender didn’t just tweak an existing reissue here; they went back to the source, re-voicing pickups, re-cutting bridge saddles, and correcting tuner spacing to match instruments from the actual era.
The alder body wears a faded Three-color Sunburst finish, kept lightweight true to the period, and it’s paired with a slim-profile D-shaped maple neck carrying a dark rosewood slab fingerboard, 7.25″ radius, and vintage-style frets. A three-ply mint green pickguard with 10 holes and old-school beveled edges sits on top, loaded with three American Vintage ’59 Single-Coil Strat pickups wound to sound like the real thing. The classic 5-position blade switch and master volume/dual tone control layout give you full command over that snarling, glassy Strat voice.
Chrome hardware includes an American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, a bone nut, and single-line Fender Deluxe vintage-style tuners — all dialed in to vintage tolerances rather than modern approximations. Aged white plastic knobs finish the look, and it ships strung with Fender USA 250R nickel-plated steel strings (.010-.046).
