Description
The Stratocaster has been the reference point for electric guitar tone since 1954, and this American Professional HSS ShawBucker model updates the formula without losing what made it iconic. Finished in Sonic Gray with a rosewood fingerboard, it pairs a fat-sounding ShawBucker humbucker at the bridge with a pair of Tim Shaw-designed V-Mod single-coils in the middle and neck positions. Each V-Mod pickup uses a specific blend of alnico magnets tuned to its position, so you get punch and warmth where you’d expect classic Fender chime.
Playability gets just as much attention as tone. The neck wears a new “Deep C” profile, sitting between a Modern C and a U-shape for a fuller feel in your palm, and it’s fitted with narrow-tall frets that make bends and up-neck chording feel more precise. A bone nut, 9.5″ fingerboard radius, and 25.5″ scale length round out the vintage-informed spec sheet, while a treble-bleed circuit keeps your top end intact even as you roll back the volume knob.
Small hardware details make a real difference here too: the pop-in tremolo arm locks in place and won’t work itself loose mid-set, with adjustable tension to match your touch.
