Description
The Stratocaster has been the yardstick for electric guitar tone since 1954, and this HH ShawBucker version keeps that legacy intact while adding some muscle. Instead of the traditional single-coil trio, Fender fitted this American Professional model with two ShawBucker humbuckers—one voiced for the neck, one for the bridge—so you get thicker, more aggressive tones alongside the clarity Strats are known for.
The 5-position blade switch still gives you access to coil-split settings, so you’re not locked into humbucker-only sounds. A treble-bleed circuit keeps your tone from turning muddy as you roll back the volume knob, which matters more than most players realize once you’re actually gigging.
Playability comes from the Deep C neck profile, a shape that splits the difference between a Modern C and a U, giving your hand more to hold onto without feeling clunky. Narrow-tall frets make bending strings and fretting chords higher up the neck feel more precise, and the bone nut adds a touch of extra sustain and clarity at the open strings. The pop-in tremolo arm stays put during aggressive playing but can be tension-adjusted to your liking.
